Well located on a popular road in Hillsborough, Sheffield this course is very popular with people in the City. Located a stones throw from the Stadium, Hillsborough park is a lovely green area with lots of dog walkers and is popular with locals.
This is a 3 lap course starting and finishing in roughly the same spot. For me the biggest challenge is not being lapped by the faster runners which I feel is an achievement in itself, considering the hills and sharp turns.
It’s unlikely you will set a PB here as it’s not only very busy but there is a climb (which ofcourse has to be repeated 3 times) but by Sheffield standards it probably only registers as a speed bump.
As you would expect for a Sheffield parkrun everyone is super friendly and the run is very well organised and safe.
There is plenty of parking just of Penistone road which charges 50p per hour (but this only kicks in from 9.30am so even more reason to push yourself to get round quicker!)
